We Can Handle Your Chapter 7 Bankruptcy
At the Arizona Law Group of Trezza & Associates, we break Chapter 7 bankruptcy into two categories: simple Chapter 7 and complex Chapter 7. When you come to our law firm, you will be represented by an attorney who has been in practice since 1992. You can be certain we can handle your case, whether it is relatively straightforward or extremely challenging.
What Is Simple Chapter 7 Bankruptcy?
If all of your assets are listed among the Arizona Bankruptcy exemptions, you most likely have a simple Chapter 7 bankruptcy case. In reviewing the exemptions, most people are surprised to find that all, if not the vast majority, of their assets are on the list. This is surprising because of the belief that Chapter 7 bankruptcy requires liquidation of all assets. That simply is not the case.
What Is Complex Chapter 7 Bankruptcy?
If you have non-exempt assets, assets that are not listed among the Arizona bankruptcy exemptions, your case becomes more complex. Although the list includes everything from retirement benefits to musical instruments, not to mention the essentials (clothes, car, etc.), it does not cover everything.
Furthermore, there are dollar limits to what it covers. For example, while a car is included on the list, there is a dollar limit. If your car is particularly fancy, or a valuable collectible, it may be non-exempt. This adds an additional layer of challenge to your Chapter 7 bankruptcy case. It is a challenge we can handle.
